Have you ever done something that made someone upset and they called you out, right there on the spot? There’s an urgent and uncomfortable feeling that shoots up to the very surface of your skin and in a split second you decide whether to push that feeling down and deny any wrong doing or you soften, and meet the feeling with love and compassion which then extends to the other person as well.
This same process happens when we feel embarrassed, ashamed or an old wound pops up. Each time we have that split second to make the decision to meet our emotions where they’re at. Softening, letting them know we are a safe and loving vessel. This is how we transform

This past year I’ve been having an old, deep and reoccurring wound resurface in the form of being triggered by another person. I was getting really frustrated because this same lesson around worthiness keeps reappearing and I felt like I was doing the work to heal myself, so why was I still being triggered? It was one of those split second moments that I realized when I felt this specific trigger, I was pushing it aside. My body would become stiff and I was actually hardening which was communicating to my soul that I wasn’t in full acceptance of myself. It was then, I realized that the medicine was the opposite reaction. I needed to soften and allow. When I began to meet the feeling with deep love and compassion, the trigger became more gentle and eventually faded. I had integrated my shadow by greeting it with warmth and love.
Announcement
I’ve decided to no longer attach journal prompts to the affirmations. I still encourage you to write out anything that comes up for you with each affirmation as this will help integrate the belief. I’m excited to continue to grow and evolve this newsletter and will have more offerings in the near future! Also, if you ever have any thoughts or pings that come up after reading a newsletter please let me know by responding to this email. I would love to hear from you!

Please share this post with a friend you think would find it helpful! We are in this together.
